FarEye during the 11th AutoExpo and Trade Fair

Auto Expo 2012, Asia’s largest automotive show jointly organized by Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), Confederation of Indian Society (CII) and Society of Indian Automobile Manufactures (SIAM) scheduled from 7-11 January 2012 at Pragati Maidan Delhi.

During the expo what caught people eyes was Desi GPS Vehicle tracking system – Far Eye. People were amazed that this little device could do much more than just tracking of vehicle. It keeps track of speed, stoppages, time your vehicle has been idle and various other performance parameters. You can set various rules for your vehicle, violation on which alerts you through SMS. It tells you the details of fuel re-fill theft and even mileage of your vehicle.  For the security conscious vehicle owners, it has a feature to immobilize the vehicle through SMS.

FarEye at the 11th Auto Expo

For us, it was an amazing platform to interact with the people, understand their problems and integrate their solutions in the device. Far eye came up with new features like two way communication, automatic alerting on accidents and video surveillance of the vehicle. Except for the crazy crowds, the show went off very well. Because of them, it’s been said that next time, show would not be at pragati maidan. But by moving the show outside Delhi does not solves. It’s still in India, and Indians would be coming for this show. We have merely to organise ourselves. Just blaming CII is not the solution.. rather CII should to be lauded for the good work it has done.

FarEye was also showcased during the India International Trade Fair (14 Novemebr to 27 November, 2011), where the product was demonstrated publicly for the first time.
